Marvin Stamm
Jazz Trumpet
Equipment
| Marvin's Trumpet
Marvin plays a hand-made Shires trumpet, designed by Steve Shires and produced by S. E. Shires Brass Instruments. This is Model ALW, a medium-large, lightwieght trumpet with the Shires A bell. Information about the Shires instruments can be found at: http://www.seshires.com. Marvin's Flugelhorn Marvin plays the French Besson flugelhorn, Model 30-FB, the Laureat. This instrument harks back to the style of flugelhorn made years ago, the highly popular and much sought-after older French Bessons. "My horn is a stock instrument with no modifications. For me, this instrument plays easily, is extremely well in tune and allows for wonderful smoothness of execution. The tone quality is dark and warm, very attractive, but you can still soar and 'burn' when you want!" Marvin's Mouthpiece Marvin Stamm is playing trumpet and flugelhorn mouthpieces designed by Gary Radtke of GR Technologies. The flugelhorn mouthpiece is GR Mouthpiece's stock Model 62FL. The custom trumpet mouthpiece designed by Mr. Radtke is very close to his stock Model 65M, although certain modifications were made to fit Marvin's specifications and tastes in musical performance. Mr.Radtke can be contacted through his web site: www.grmouthpieces.com |
